POPULAR QUESTIONS
What ATV/UTV do you recommend?
For beginners, we recommend the Honda 250 semi-automatic or the Kymco 300 automatic. On the Honda 250, you will have to shift gears with your left foot. The Kymco 300 auto is very simple with just gas and brake. Shifting is not required. We have great instructors that will show you how to operate these vehicles and they require no experience to ride it.
How do we get the ATV’s?
Pismo Beach has a beach staging area that has all of our rentals. This staging area is a mile and a half down the beach from the rental office. We have a shuttle that runs up and down the beach all day for renters that do not want to drive on the beach and prefer to park near our office. If you would like to drive on the beach, we recommend doing it at low tide or in a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
At our Oregon and Palm Springs locations, you ride directly from our rental office to the riding area.
What’s the age limit to ride an ATV?
We really go by rider fit. To ride with us, you must be at least 48″ tall to ride your own ATV, which is usually around 8 years old. If the child is under 48″ but at least 46″ tall, they can sit in the back of a 4 or 6 seat UTV. Children under 46″ tall are too small to be on any of our vehicles for safety reasons. Any passenger on a 2 seat ATV or UTV must be at least 60″ tall. Sorry, we do not allow car seats in our UTVs.
How much is the security deposit
The security deposits range on our vehicles. For child and beginner ATVs the security deposit is $100. For the experienced rider or 4×4 ATVs, the deposit is $300. On the UTVs deposits range from $750 to $2,500 depending on the UTV.
Can an adult ride a kid’s ATV?
Unfortunately, adults cannot ride a child’s vehicle. Even if it is a small adult we stick to our age requirements on the vehicle.
Can I ride if I am pregnant?
For the safety of the unborn child and the mother, we ask that you do not ride if you are pregnant!
