Razor ATV: 5 Reasons Why Side-by-Side ATVs are Awesome

Riding an Razor at Steve's ATV

Side by side ATVs (or UTVs), started out as vehicles to help farmers and builders haul their large loads across difficult terrains. They have now evolved into the off-road adventurer’s vehicle of choice.

These phenomenal machines have gone through relentless innovation over the last few years to evolve into the ultimate combination of power, agility and fun.

In this article we are going to break down 5 reasons why a Razor UTV provides the most fun you can have through sand dunes, deserts…or anything else.

What is a UTV?

A UTV is the most exciting way to take on wild off-road terrain and let nothing get in your way. UTV stands for ‘Utility Task Vehicle’ or ‘Utility Terrain Vehicle’, they are comfortable, safe and powerful.

You will experience sand dunes like never before as you climb over any obstacle easily, while tearing through the sand at speeds of up to 65 mph… fast enough to get anybody’s adrenaline pumping.

The driveability of a Razor gives you complete control and confidence to really feel the machine underneath you. Designed more like a car, they have a steering wheel, gas & brake pedals, and bucket racing seats with seatbelts.

When Polaris introduced their first Razor in 2007, the RZR 800, they introduced the world to the first sports UTV and changed the entire landscape of UTVs.1

5 reasons why Razor UTVs are Awesome:

The Razor UTV is considered the pinnacle of sports UTVs and the most fun you can have ripping through sand dunes and deserts, with your friends or family along for the ride.

Here we highlight 5 key reasons you will want to take one of these incredible vehicles for a ride.

1. They’re versatile enough to get you through any terrain

Narrow trails that were once only accessible by ATVs are now open to UTVs thanks to the RZR.

Customers ready to leave in RZR

The 60-inch width design allows it to maneuver through anything; tight woodland trails, twisty paths, steep dunes, powdery sand or muddy paths, with the RZR at your disposal you will take on any terrain, with surprising ease.

The RZR is a sport UTV specifically built to provide you with an unforgettable off-road experience.

2. Razors provide the perfect blend of power and performance

Razor’s are fast, powerful and comfortable, allowing you to navigate any surface with a top speed of 55 – 65 MPH. If you’re looking for an exhilarating way to climb the high dunes, this is it.

All of our RZR models at Steve’s ATV Rentals are not detuned from the factory settings to give you less performance, unlike other UTV and dune buggy rental places. This ensures you are able to enjoy full performance capabilities when you rent from us.

From the Polaris RZR 800cc with 63 horsepower, right through to the Polaris RZR XP 1000 which packs a whopping 110 horsepower, there is no more exciting way for you to explore the vast sand dunes and desert.

3. You can bring your friends and family with you

If you’re looking for the perfect group day out, surprising somebody with an unforgettable gift or a memorable family day out in a RZR is your answer.

Comfortably travel with up to four people and share the thrill as you all experience the fun together.

With our full range of RZRs, we can accommodate even the largest groups and get you all out there enjoying the beaches and dunes in a way you are guaranteed never to forget.

4. They’re comfortable!

The last thing you have to worry about in one of our RZRs is any back or joint pain. With bucket seats for the driver and all passengers, you can enjoy hours of driving without discomfort.

You can take one on highest dunes, any obstacle, uneven terrains and anything else that may come your way, while remaining secure and comfortable.

5. Razors are safe and durable

When you decide to head out across the vast sand dunes and deserts, you want to do so without limitations.

The RZR does just that, letting nothing hold it back.

Built around a tube frame with a low center of gravity and roll cage, the Razor provides excellent safety and stability leaving you free to enjoy the ride.

The plastic body panels work to keep loose items like rocks out of the vehicle keeping everybody safe as you ride over any surface.

You may also notice the distinctive, slender looking suspension rods sticking the wheels out past the corners of the Razor. These rods are one of the sturdiest parts of the RZR.

They give you a huge range of motion by keeping the wheels in contact with even the most uneven ground so you can confidently discover the full potential of these vehicles.

Rocks, sand, dunes, branches…there is nothing the RZR can’t comfortably navigate.
